<p>You don’t need the cover sheets.
What you need to make sure of is that the person who prepares the letter clearly includes your name, USC ID number (if you have one already), your school, and if no USC ID, your SSN (particularly if you have a common name) at the top of the letter. </p>
<p>Also have the writer indicate these on the outside of the envelope (except SSN) as well as a notation that this is a recommendation letter. (These can be indicated in the lower left hand corner of envelope for example.) Once the letter gets to the Admissions office, they will place it in your file.</p>
<p>If you do have the bar code stickers though (not sure if they supply them after you’ve done Part 1 as in previous years), you can give one to the person and have him/her stick it on the letter itself.</p>
