I'll be attending a community college for one year due to financial reasons. I know I want to transfer into a four year business program, so should I do a liberal arts curriculum or just do the business program, if I'm transferring after one year. Which would generally be more appealing credit-wise to colleges?

You should try to come up with a list of about four or five business programs that you want to go to and think you have a legit shot at getting into. After you've done this call each program and ask them which classes they look for and/or require. Many of the better business programs have some truly strange requirements that can really screw a well qualified applicant. Also, I would call as apposed to looking on their website. The program that I applied to had many mistakes on the website that the addmission officer cleared up for me. It saved me a lot of time.
