Hi,
I'm a 19 year old sophomor and I was recently accepted into UB for Spring 2013 and I had a tour of the campus. The campus' ( North and South) are very big and there seems to be a lot to do on campus. Activities, sports, clubs etc to join, but what can a person do outside of UB? I have the impression that UB is like a summer camp, 8,000 students living together ( which isn't so bad) but it seems like the only thing a student can do at UB is become friends with students on campus and literally live, sleep, eat and do everything there. People say "college town" but I think UB is a town in itself. Is that what the college experience is?
I've already experienced living in other countries and things so maybe dorming isn't something as exciting as it would be to some.
Are there other things a person can do around that area, besides being secluded to being on campus all the time?
I was also wondering what the atmosphere is like in Buffalo?

Thank you for the replies! :)
