Hi all,
I currently go to CC and will hopefully get accepted into UCLA for Fall 2020.
As a life science transfer, there is two semesters worth of calculus that we need to take. But I took Calc AB and Calc BC and got 5’s on both of the AP tests.
But I recently went on ASSIST and saw this posted on all the life science transfer requirements: “Students who have placed out of UCLA’s Math 31A based on AP/IB credit may be required to complete UCLA’s Math 3C, 32A or an equivalent course after transfer.”
I saw the keyword “MAY” and just had a feeling about it. I haven’t taken math in a while except for Statistics, but it isn’t in the same ballpark as calc was. But in the chance that I do go to UCLA, I was just wondering what you guys have done at UCLA if you’ve had AP credit transfer over.
Am I required to take a math course that I have no experience in?
Thanks
