hi! I have heard that Fordham sometimes sends out a “likely” letter in February to RD students it might admit. Wondering if anyone would like to share whether they had received one, and maybe some info about their test scores, etc. My daughter would like very much to receive one!
Fordham does send out likely letters, and now they do it by email. The timing varies and not everyone gets one at the same time. It can be even a week before the dump, when all RD applicants find out the results.
Scores vary. Mostly they are people Fordham is targeting and hopes will accept an offer of admission. Targets can be because of scores, geographic diversity, ethnic diversity, or other factors.
The 50th percentile scores of admitted students in the EA pool were quite high. So it seems the likely letters scores will also be high this year.
Good luck. Hang in there…another month or so.
My D, who is currently a junior, received a likely letter in early February the year that she applied. She had very high stats - she received the NMSF scholarship and is in the honors program.
The likely letter did not include info about the scholarship or the invitation to the honors program. The scholarship info came with the official acceptance in late March and the honors program invite came a bit later, in early April, if I recall correctly.
Thanks for your responses, I appreciate it!
