Likely Letter - Coming Out at March

Does MIT send out "likely letter" to applicants in early March? If so, do people ,who receive these letters, like almost 100% sure they will get in in early April?

They send final decision letters in mid-march. Accept, Waitlist, reject.

I'm pretty sure they don't do likely letters.
(Unless it's about athletics, I have no clue about anything athletic but have read about likely letters + recruited atheletes elsewhere)

No likely letters. All decisions are sent on the same day in March.

Wonder which colleges do send out likelihood letters?

I know Yale and Dartmouth do, very often for athletes and top URMs. If you want to see a copy of a likely letter, there's a link to one on a Yale thread.

a real likely letter from Yale: <a href="http://www.tdy-perdiem.com/rsi/yale1.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.tdy-perdiem.com/rsi/yale1.htm</a></p>
