i received an invitation to compete for syracuse scholarships in april. it says it's for students who are likely to recieve admission. yay! anyone else get it?

Yeah, I got the letter too...for the 'Citizenship Education Conference'... Are you going to do it? Im waiting to see if I actually get in SU before I start to work on the paper for it..

is it for certain majors? when did u get the letter?

I got it a week or so ago. I think it is for the entire school. I got my acceptance letter this week but even if you didn't, you would not be invited to compete for this scholarship if you were not going to get in. Congrats!

What are your stats?

i didnt get that letter........

The invitation doesn't really say why you got invited or not.

My stats are
SAT M-770, CR - 770, Wr - 700
ACT 33
GPA 4.25 w
54/720

Is that the letter that says that you pay $15 and get the details on how to compete/ essay etc? I got that but I thought that was odd to pay $$ to get the info on how. That is the likely acceptance letter?

It's not a "likely acceptance" letter. It's an invitation to compete for a scholarship through the Maxwell School. It does imply that you will be accepted obviously, but it isn't a true likely letter. But yes, that is the letter.
