<p>Just got a Brown likely letter today! :slight_smile: Does anyone know roughly how many are sent for non-athletic recruits? Also, any ideas on Brown’s acceptance rate this year?</p>

<p>Dang I really was hoping for a brown likely letter :frowning: Got one from Dartmouth but they generally send out more, not to mention the fact that their application numbers dropped this year whereas Brown’s reached record highs

<p>@amoeboid6: Yes, I was rude. I apologize. But you gotta understand the context here. Literally about 90% of applicants to some of these schools are going to get the reject notice in 2 weeks . It’s tough to celebrate and commiserate w/others’ pain at the same time but it’s required. That’s all. Congrats on your accept.</p>

<p>90% of the people who get in don’t get likely letters. To be upset about not getting one is really losing perspective.</p>

<p>@TrinidadJames22: probably because you’re like most of the students who apply. Likely letters are extremely uncommon, and generally we only have 1 student on CC per year who gets one. This year’s been quite an aberration. As a Brown senior, I can only think of one person I know who got one, and he’s an athlete who’s in the top 10 in the nation in his sport.</p>
