I didn’t think Bryn Mawr gave out likely letters, but this post from the old forum suggests otherwise. http://www.collegeconfidential.com/cgi-bin/discus/show.cgi?70/94332

Of course those are usually for athletes or the very top students, but still. And I’m just panicking because the decision letter is so close. I wish they would post it online, at least then we’d get a definite date & time.

And the Bryn Mawr forum from last year confirms that the girls DID get phone calls. All did for RD and lots for ED!

So is it a bad sign that the phone has been silent? We still have a week, so I guess not. Yet. Hehe. Also a girl last year was deferred with these stats.
SAT: 1360
GPA: 3.5UW, 4.0W
She had never visited, but applied EDII. She was accepted RD.

Maybe she got deferred because she hadn't visited (I hope). If she got deferred with that I have no chance with a 1290 and 3.3 GPA. Meh.

Are likely letters for RD or ED also? Since noone on this board has gotten a likely letter, and theres only a week lefr, I don't think they're sending them...or just none of us got them :(
A phone call would be AMAZING! Now I'm going to be worried that I haven't gotten one. Come on Bryn Mawr.....

Exactly! I was looking at last year's thread and it discouraged me so much. No phone call, no likely letter....now I have one more thing to wait for!

And yeah with my 1340 SAT and 3.4 gpa I have no chance!

Do you think BM focuses more on SAT or GPA? I hate my SAT scores, and I didn't take Sat 2's yet. How did you guys do on them? I have a killer gpa though, and some strong activities so I hope that will help. If they really consider the sat alot im screwed...:(
