Likelyhood

I might be overshooting, but I am applying to some top universities (Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, RPI). I am finishing my A.S. in Engineering Science this semester and plan on transferring into a Mechanical Engineering program. My GPA is currently a 3.94 (out of 4.0), but I am a nontraditional student. I finished high school in a foreign country in 2005, before moving to the U.S. in 2007. I was smart, but I could care less during my high school years because high school grades do not matter when applying for college admission in Brazil. So, I do have some ugly grades on my high school transcript, but I have a perfect record in every science/math course taken at the community college. I served in the military (Marine Corps) before starting school (Fall 2011). I think that should help me out. I don't have many extracurricular activities due to my lack of time. I am married and I have a daughter. I would like to hear some opinions on how likely I am to get accepted into these schools.
Also, if anyone could help me out with the common app (specially essay reviews) it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
