For me, the “value packages” are kinda expensive.
How’s the quality?
Bryn Mawrters, please advice whether or not I should buy it?
Is it necessary and what should I buy?

Thanks :)

The linens seem to be average. I didn’t personally buy them, but some friends of mine were not impressed with their RHL orders. On the other hand, the sets are rather cheap if you need all of it. You would probably spend about the same buying all items individually from Target or Walmart.

I would advise to go light on the initial college shopping. I moved in with one set of linens, a few towels, a laundry hamper, shower shoes, a shower caddy, a trash can and a fan (get a good one, not a small clip-on fan). Later I invested into a mattress pad, a desk lamp, a few extension chords and a bit of decoration. Most students get a floor lamp because the lights in the rooms tend to be rather dim; I only exchange the light bulb in the ceiling lamp.

This past year I also got a shelf, but I wouldn’t have had space for it in my freshman double. I would generally advise against buying any big storage things until you have seen your room. The beds have drawers built in, the closets tend to be pretty spacious and every desk has a shelf, so there’ll be a minimum of storage space available to you.

That’s all I can think of. Let me know if there’s anything else you are interested in!
