Hello all! In the mail today I received a catalogue from a third party vendor that works w/Bryn Mawr. They sell prepackaged dorm sets (xl sheets, matching towels, xl bed covers etc) for a reasonable price and their stuff is nice looking. They have a lifetime warranty. However, there is no thread count for the cotton (though I doubt there are few luxury xl sets) and I know nothing about this service. It would definitely save time and aggravation assuming the set is nice, however were there to be a problem, I’d have to return everything and have nothing at school… Has anyone had any experience with this: Bryn Mawr College | College Dorm Room Bedding, Bath & Decor | Bundles & Packages or any other similar company? Thanks!

Some Bryn Mawr dorms use regular sized mattresses and sheets. My D lived in Erdmore last year and she was able to use regular twin sized sheets.

So you might want to wait till you get your dorm assignment before you buy the x-long sheets.
In any case, most people my D knows were not happy with their pre-ordered sheets. LinensN Things, Target etc. all carry x-long sheets and they are quite reasonably priced and also have much higher thread counts.

I think it's a good idea to buy twin xl sheets because chances are that you will need them at some point. That being said, I second sarha's comment about the prepackaged sheets. I have yet to meet someone who is enthusiastic about their RHL sheets.

You can buy better quality twin-XL sets from LinensN Things, Target, Walmart etc. If you don't want to deal with transportation, you can even order them online and have them shipped to the college, so that they are ready for pick up when you arrive at Bryn Mawr.

:) Thanks to the above posters. I bought stuff independently which though more time consuming and ultimately more expensive (I am guessing), was a worthy investment. Should anyone now or in the future be reading this, my feeling was that if I buy RHL sheets and they pill, what will I do? Well, obviously, I'll return them for a new set of pilly RHL sheets. Then I will realize that my parents wasted 200 dollars on sheets I don't like.
