Linguistics + Large Variety of Foreign Language Majors/Minors?

Can I get a list of colleges that have a variety of foreign language majors and minors in the New England area that aren’t ridiculously big? I’m looking for something more moderately sized but has the programs that I want to look into.

The Internet is really unhelpful when it comes to good linguistic major programs… Anyone have any colleges that are particularly good around New York, Massachusetts, or Connecticut? (Not Ivy League… My standards aren’t that high lol)

Most small schools do not have a large variety of foreign languages to choose from. If that’s a hard requirement for you, you may need to go to a big school. Look for an honors program or other ways to make a big school feel a little smaller.

If you have specific language(s) in mind, someone may be able to suggest a school with those languages.

At Penn, they claimed they would accommodate any foreign language interests. Middlebury College has strong foreign language programs. Both are extremely competitive in admissions.

Bard College also has very strong programs. It’s competitive but not as extremely so.

Holy Cross in Worcester, MA also has a pretty broad range of languages offered. Brandeis and Tufts are possibilities.
