<p>Thanks for the link, I was actually wondering the same thing..despite all the achievements, notable alumni, etc. many of my friends from the west coast and up north still happen to look down upon UF for some reason..</p>

<p>^ They look down on Duke, Rice, UNC, and Davidson as well.</p>

<p>Go figure....</p>

<li>I am not saying they think these institutions are bad, but they do not give them the respect that they deserve. It's going to take a generation for perceptions to change.</li>
