@arkymommy I canât find any information that University of South Florida is a direct entry. From the website it appears to be 2+2 and they are starting an accelerated 2nd bachelorâs program this year. Do you see something different? Very curious since my daughter is interested in Florida.
Edit: I see now they do offer some high school students direct entry. Iâd love to know how many and how competitive it is to be chosen for this group.
@tbib83 I couldnât find it at first either! You have to dig around a bit on their website to find. Unfortunately, I donât know anything about the program. Only way I knew it was Direct Admit was because another parent told me about it. My D is a 2020 so we have already applied to all. Call the school and Iâm sure they will give you some more info! You can also post on the Class of 2024 Nursing Admissions page. There are several of us that have applied / accepted to FL schools and could give feedback.

The University of Utah has a direct entry option for highly qualified high school applicants called Nursing Early Assurance Program (NEAP), as well as the regular 2+2 option.

AND you get 60 hours of approved healthcare-related experience during the first year
AND 10 hours of non-clinical community service,

Thatâs not really direct admit. Itâs similar to what non-direct admit schools offer:

what is the needed GPA to stay in the Florida Southern College program?
Florida Southern requires the following
âAn overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for progression in the major. Students must achieve a grade of C or higher in all required coursework for the nursing major.â
I eventually found the page for FSC, Thank You so much! Do you happen to know the gpa requirement for University of Minnesota twin cities. I cannot seem to find it.

âNo student may receive a bachelorâs degree unless at least 75 percent of the degree-qualifying residence credits carry grades of A, B, C, or D (with or without pluses or minuses). The School of Nursing does not accept academic work receiving a D (with or without a plus or minus). All BSN degree requirements must be taken on the A-F grading basis unless otherwise noted.â
