Does anybody have a consolidated list of summer internships for incoming college freshmen? The only ones I have found are ones that are open to those in high school or those in college, but not ones that are for graduating seniors this year.

Honestly, have fun this summer–don’t worry too much about getting an internship. You’ll realize that as soon as you finish your first year of college, or maybe half way through your second year, you’re going to have to stop mentioning (and clear your resume of) anything before college, it simply becomes irrelevant.

In college too, for research positions your freshman year, they expect you to have not done much in high school so it’s not like not having experience from high school will hurt in getting research positions at your school.

Take it easy, you just graduated high school, I’m sure you got into a good college and enjoy the last summer that you’ll really be able to stress free :)

Hey, I’d also like this list!

For me, an internship in my field of study IS fun. I had an awesome internship last year. It was literally the most fun thing I’ve ever done. I can’t think of a single thing that would be more fun, and I mean that sincerely.

there are some great resources on the web, companies focused on helping under grads find internships, InternJump, InternMatch, etc…
you can get very specific when searching
