livin' in a Van

I'm actually curious what law it breaks, but I can tell you that it is in fact illegal. Anybody have any guesses, possibly a Vagrancy violation?

So... I looked into it, and I am wrong. If you've got any kind of income you can't be considered a vagrant. Anybody else know why it is illegal?

allena, I will get back to you with the answer to your question.

Actually, I do not think it is illegal to live in a car/van. But they can throw you in jail for camping out on their property, which is illegal.

You won't be getting a parking permit for Fall, as its too late, but you can try again for the other quarters. But you'd need a valid reason to get a parking permit from UCLA. "Living in a van" won't cut it. Commuter parking passes aren't valid at night, so you'll be getting lots of $42 tickets. You'd need one for on-campus housing, but since you don't have a dorm.... You could get a friend to buy it for you, but they'd need a reason. You could say they need to drive home to work every weekend, but you'd need to show a paycheck in person. So I have no idea..

Hopefully during the night and morning checks, the parking people don't catch you. G'luck!

doesn't the wooden center have showers?

yeah it does.
