Living Expenses

For those who are already in UT Austin, can you give me a rough calculation of your per month lliving expenses? Could tell me basically just a bit of your lifestyle so I can see if it's similar to what i expect?

Thanks

Will you be living on campus or in a private dorm or in an apartment? The living expenses are so different.

How much would it be if I was in the Business Honors program and lived on campus/apartment?

How much would it be as a regular business student?

Thanks!

BHP and regular business cost the same thing.

On campus and apartment are two vastly different things. You can live on campus or you can try to hunt down an apartment.

On campus costs $7500 if you get the standard room (and if you haven't already applied that's what you'll be getting) and that includes $1200 in Dine-In Dollars for use at UT dining halls and $300 in Bevo Bucks which can be used in many restaurants around the UT and Austin area.

Apartments range from one-room, dirt cheap places to extravagant, multi-room condos and lofts, etc. The cost also differs based on the distance from campus. Apartments also don't include any meals so you'd have to figure out the cost of food. You would need to describe what you are looking for, how many people would stay there, etc. It's really late to get a lease for next year on an apartment as well so a lot of prime locations will be taken.

is the Dine-In Dollars thing all u can eat?
lol
just wondering....

Well I'll be staying at Towers, so the housing stuff, is already solved.
I meant more like daily expenses. I know it can vary enormously, but I wanted to have even a slight idea of how much will it be.

I mean an average person, not too fancy and not too cheap.

$150 a month for car insurance

$50 phone bill

$100 a month for food

yeah i meant something like that.

I'm asking this because I have no damn idea about it, and I have to fill that up for the F1 Visa thing, I do own a visitor visa, but i still have to change everything and montly personal expenses are an important part of the application.
