Living in Albany New York?

Hi,

I'm currently a undergraduate student majoring in B.A. Liberal Studies. I've already completed my two minors, one in Political Science, and the other in Criminal Justice.

I live in Amherst, New York a small city outside of Buffalo, New York.

This summer, I've been accepted to an internship, at the Governors Office in Albany, New York (State Capitol).

I haven't the slightest clue, as to, where I could live. Since its about a 5 hour drive, I more than likely will spend the weekends in my hometown to relax and unwind then drive back Sunday night.

I just need a place or somewhere to stay Monday through Friday. Since my college (Daemen College) 3 credit hour Co-Op requirement is 150 hours on site and the Governors Office generic operating hours is 9 to 5 Monday - Friday, my rough draft estimate is I'd only need somewhere to live for about three weeks. But I'd know more, in terms of the exact details, after my phone conference with them...this Friday afternoon.

Does anyone have any idea, where I'd be able to live, or crash? Or what?

Thanks.

My son was looking into the area as he had an internship possibility there.

Check Craigslist under Albany sublets and room rentals. There are many furnished rooms for rent in the area that cater to interns. Also Oak Hill Apartments rents furnished apartments short term.

Good luck!
