Living In an RV

First of all this is awesome. What an amazing idea. Good luck man, I hope you can afford to go these schools, whatever you end up doing, you are obviously one determined soul ;).

livin in a van down by the river

A co-worker once told me she graduated with a kid who lived in a car (truck) all 4 years of at college - he went to the gym each morning to shower and brush teeth and occasionally exercise. He was also a yogi or something like that. I'm assuming this means he was a follower of some kind of eastern religion or cult. So for him it might have also been a way to practice his own religion i.e. live with very few possessions.

that's pretty ingenious. i wish you the best of luck, seriously. not many people would have the dedication to do that. take pictures of the rv; i wanna see this plan in action.

I decide I’m going to live in a VW EUROVAN complete with a small fridge, stove and electrical outlets. it will be tough but, I think it will be worth it. I'll try to get pics up later.

great idea mate. i love it. i hope you make it work!

About a couple weeks ago, I read this and just thought it was a funny idea, but I kept thinking about it and I think I actually might do it. I’m a transfer and I want to go to UC Davis in the spring, and I think it’s an ingenious idea and would work well for that area. Thanks for the idea

UC Irvine had an RV park up until a couple of years ago. Here's an excerpt about it:

Irvine Meadows West RV-Park is a 79-space recreational vehicle park housing graduate and undergraduate students. The rate for 2003-04 is $130 per month per space. Although no new RVs may be moved into the park, some existing trailers are available for purchase. Trailers must contain a sink, hardware for running water, and a stove. Laundry facilities, showers, and restrooms are centrally located within the park. This housing option will not be available after July 31, 2004.
