Living Learning?

Hello!
I'm going to be a freshman this year (Mech. Engineering) and my best friend and I are going to be roommates in the Apollo Community! :) But I just got an email saying that there is now an open spot for the LEARN Living Learning Community I applied for but got wait-listed. LEARN will give me a $500 scholarship, research and apprenticeship opportunities, and only 28 students get in. On the other hand, I will be moved to the Nike Community and not be with my friend, and we've mostly planned everything with our Apollo room. I mean, the point of LLCs is to make friends with people that have similar majors, but I'm already rooming with my best friend (Computer Science). Should I join LEARN?

I would join LEARN because it seems in the end it will benefit you the most. You can still hang out with your friend just not live with her/him.
