Living Off Campus

How can an international freshman live off campus in his freshmen year? I am a second semester freshman who started this spring. However for upcoming fall semester, I want to move off campus. I saw some really good apartments 5 mins away from the university and want to move in there with my friends. Please guide me regarding this.

Bump…

@sridude
Hello,
All freshman students who have a permanent address outside of a 30 mile radius of UAH must live on campus for Freshman and Sophomore years. If you have further questions about housing, please contact UAH Housing at housing@uah.edu .
Thank you,

Well, I know some kids who are living off campus and they are not 21 yet. But one of their friend is 21 year old and he signed a form stating that he takes responsibility of them and they are living with him now.

Hello @SriDude,
The issue you mention has nothing to do with someone taking responsibility for you at on off-campus complex. Being let out of your UAH housing lease does not have to do with age. It has to do with the number of credits you have to make you of Junior status. However, you must contact UAH housing to see if you can be let out of your housing requirement before your reach Junior status at housing@uah.edu .
Thanks,
