living off campus

Hey I’m a california transfer to mccombs, and it doesn’t look like I will be living on campus. I have 2 questions

Are there any decent places to live within 2 miles of campus that offer 6-month leases? (I’m trying to Duren hall in spring)

Of all the private dorms with cafeterias (dobie, towers, castillian…) which is most suitable for vegetarians? I was looking at some menus and they all had one item for vegeterians; eggs, and mixed vegetables.

i'm gonna have to plug the co-ops. they almost all have great vegetarian food

http://collegehouses.coop/ <---- dormlike feel (~50-120 ppl living in house)

http://www.iccaustin.coop/houses.html <---- houselike feel (~16-22 ppl living in house).

i believe most will do 6 month leases.
