I will be attending TCC... they recommended Portofino Villas but I found out they're terrible and so are many other apartments I've tried searching... Does anyone know of any good place to live?

Boardwalk at Appleyard and West 10 are college apartments you might want to check.

Thanks cybermom, I checked those out. I read reviews for West 10 and they're pretty bad, and expensive, and Boardwalk doesn't offer 1/1s, which is what I'm looking for. I want peace and quiet, so I can study! I want somewhere where I can get away.

I think I like these apartments - Spanish Oaks. They're on High Road, 1327 High Rd. Does anyone know if this area is safe? Some guy worried me because I read reviews, most of them are great, but this one guy says he doesn't think the area is safe because he had some stuff stolen from his car.

Most of the reviews I've read on the apartments owned by South Group Apartments are great - [url=http://www.southgroupapartments.com]SouthGroup Apartments - Choose From Our 10 Great Apartment Locations Covering Tallahassee

The only thing I can tell you about High Road is that I've seen a lot of arrest reports come out of that area. Why? I don't know. Probably the relative proximity to/accessibility from Frenchtown. The area itself didn't seem that bad, though to be honest I only went through there a few times in all my years in Tallahassee.

Theft is something you'll have to be wary of anywhere you live (assuming you live on one of the high trafficked student areas where it isn't unusual to see people going around at all hours of the night). Just don't leave anything worth stealing within plain site from outside the car - better yet, don't leave anything in the car in the first place.

That's what I was thinking. I know there's crime everywhere, but I don't want to live in anywhere where it's above average, although I can't imagine Tallahassee being anywhere near as bad as Miami!
