@cthehin I applied on March 7th I think and received a response on March 20th or something on My MYPAW.
Has anyone heard from LMU yet? My application is apparently still “under review.”
If you are planning to attend, make your deposit asap. I would contact the counselor to have your transcript reviewed asap ( it may be online now like Santa Clara, but a couple of years ago it was done by hand and then input into the system). My son transferred two years ago, once his transcript was processed by the counselor he was able to start registering for fall classes (this was in May 2014). The classes fill up quickly and as a transfer many of the courses you want will possibly be full. Learn about the curriculum and I would suggest using ‘rate my professors’.
I haven’t heard back yet. My app also still says “currently under review” @selfofsteam
@kesprxt and anyone else who hasn’t gotten a decision yet, I highly recommend you call them and ask them about it. If they don’t answer, leave a message! I left a message and they called me back the next day (I wasn’t able to answer the phone so they left me a message).
For some reason, my application was listed as incomplete. WHILE she was leaving the message, she checked my file and saw that it actually WAS complete. Then, she stated my application was changed to complete so that it could be reviewed next.
I can’t say I’m not peeved about this, since this whole time my application was “in review” when it likely wasn’t. So, yeah, I doubly emphasize anyone who has an “under review” status to contact LMU.
@selfofsteam did myPAW say your application was incomplete? Mine says complete and my status is still “under review”. I called and she said I should hear back with my decision in about a week or so…
@cranberries21 I actually called them months ago, and it was then that I was told my application was listed as incomplete (I don’t recall it even telling me it was incomplete on myPAW, can you tell me where that’s listed?). According to the person I spoke to, the matter was fixed and soon after the status was changed to “under review.” Apparently, it wasn’t under review at all though, lol. Very confused.
I was wondering if anyone here knows about impacted majors at LMU or if anyone can tell me my chances? I really haven’t been able to find a lot of stats about transfers so I really honestly don’t have any idea what my chances are.
I applied to transfer in as a Junior. I have a 3.38 GPA (from an out of state junior college) and after this semester I’ll have about 70 credits, and I applied as a Computer Science Major. I thought that my GPA is too low because Computer Science is generally an impacted major and is difficult to get into, but I was looking at the most popular majors at LMU and it said that they are Business/Commerce, General; Visual and Performing Arts, General; Social Sciences, General; and Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Computer Science doesn’t seem to be very popular so I was wondering if that helps my chances.
Still haven’t heard back, my application has been under review for like 2 months and I turned it in on February 1, so I really don’t think that they actually review them on a rolling basis because people turned their applications in way after me and already have their decisions.
Anyone heard anything?
