I wanted to bring my car to BU, but I won’t be using it very often. What options do I have for parking?

Don't bring your car to BU. You do not want to have it here and you certainly don't need it here. The public transportation is great and the subway (the T) runs right down the center of campus. It can get you anywhere in the city easily. I don't know a single person who brings a car, not even upperclassmen. They charge you a huuuuuge fee just for the right to LOOK for a parking spot. You aren't even guaranteed one. Lol so if my point isn't clear enough yet: DON't bring a car.

I second Devilsrule...absolutely no reason to have a car in Boston, unless you want to spend over $ 1000 a month to park it, most likely not near BU.
Even if you have that kind of money to burn, it makes no sense.

I triple agree with that. The BU parking permit is 1000 a year and isn't an actual spot, just the right to fight for a spot. The spots in the area on the street are all either metered or resident permit only. And I don't think you would be able to get a resident permit as a student since your license will not have your school address.

The only possible option is, if you have money and time and maybe have a parent who'll actually do the work for you, you can rent a fulltime space in a garage or lot somewhere. I don't think many places will rent to a kid. You can't park it on the street because you can't get a resident permit for Allston.

In other words . . . . fuhgeddabouttit.
