Longboarding from Santa Catalina

Are the roads fine? Hilly? and how long does it usually take on average?

takes forever, some uphill, and some very bumpy. stick with a bike.

Yea it would be annoying to ride a longboard to campus from there. Maybe once in a while for fun if you want, but you’re gonna want a bike.

Can a longboard speed up the travel time between classes, or is it just too crowded during the passing time?

People skate in between classes a ton. But honestly it is really annoying when your walking and have to side step because of some jacka** skating. Plus if you have a bike and your classes are on opposite sides why skate?

I longboarded from FT to the ucsb campus twice, a few days ago.

Stick with sidewalks when longboarding. Bike paths are for bikes. And it DOES NOT take forever–took me about 8 min at the most. Plus, depending on the longboard you have, it was a rather smooth ride. . .
