My son is a musician, classically trained but not married to classical music. He feels that he wants to continue to study vocals and composition in college as a major with a minor in secondary ed. I don't even know where to begin to look. Any suggestions?

Vocal performance AND music compostion? Its tough(or virtually impossible) getting into two programs simultaneously. Which is better, his portfolio of music compostions, or his vocal training?
