Looking for a Reliable Bag

I made a topic on the computer section but didn't get too many hits. I am looking for a bag(preferably messenger style with a big strap) that can handle a 13" Laptop, 3-4 Textbooks, Notebooks, Planner, Pens/Pencils, etc. I am working with a budget of around $100. I'm hoping to find one that will last me at least 3-4 years.

This is the best purse I’ve ever had. It ruined all other purses for me.

Are you a girl or a guy? I’ve been using the same Vera Bradley messenger bag for school for five years, and it has yet to let me down.

I am a guy :)

Just check the eBags site. I’ve purchased 2 school bags from there before and they worked really well.

I was looking at…

[Timbuk2 D-Lux Laptop Messenger: Racing Stripe - L - eBags.com](http://www.ebags.com/product/timbuk2/d-lux-laptop-messenger-racing-stripe-l/145495?basketalready=yes&productid=10005630&itemid=1&cartlink=view)

but I’m not sure if it will be big enough for everything I have

Would you recommend a smaller or larger backpack? I’m between 2 bags right now

and

By the way OP, I think the 2nd link I sent you would be perfect if you’re not looking for a bag that’s super unique. Apparently it’s one of the highest rated bags on the site and I’m pretty sure I had it in HS (I bought it from a store not online so I’m not sure haha) and it was wonderful. I used it for 2 years and it’s still in perfect condition. I just don’t want to bring it to college because I think the color is ugly, but that’s a different story :P

EDIT: Oh wait, NVM you said messenger. Oh well… backpacks are better for your back haha.

TRASH BAGS!!!

Hobos have been using them for centuries!

They are water proof, large, and cheap!

They also come in stylish BLACK! or WHITE!.

Other kids making fun of you and your bags? Put a brick in your bag and hit them with it.

Order trash bags NOW!

Lol that’s awesome

I just bought the JanSport Big Student Pack, and I love it. It’s got the two large main pockets, plenty of smaller pockets, and I really like the color.

If you look online at eBags clearance and on Amazon clearance, there are also discontinued colors that are on sale for pretty cheap. The only downside is that this bag doesn’t have a laptop sleeve, but I have a portable laptop sleeve anyway so that wasn’t a factor for me.

I died laughing at the trash bag post! Hahaha! Wouldn’t individual Glad bags be an alternative as well?

I know that a few mainstream stores, e.g. American Eagle Outfitters, Gap, etc. carry large messenger bags that may comfortably fit your laptop as well. As for how durable those brands are, I wouldn’t know. Good luck with your search!

I just purchased the Timbuk2 Shotwell from ebags for like $45. awesome deal.
