LL Bean.

Oh, the message I have entered is too short, apparently.

hmm..

How to make the message longer, then?

uhh...

LL Bean

Many of the girls at my D's campus love these!

I bought a black leather bag from Villager at Kohl's. So far I've loved it. It's very spacious, and I can fit everything in it. And it's VERY classy.

The North Face makes some nice ones.

just not vera bradley please. those are the ugliest bags ever

Does it have to be leather? I love my totebags. The ones I use most are a denim bag with a 1950s Twister logo on the front, and a pink canvas one with leather handles with a velvety Tinkerbell design on one side. I also just made a totebag. You can get them for like $2 at Walmart in various colors (or just plain canvas) and decorate them however you like. The one I made is for my sorority, but it's bright pink with bright pink feathery trim and sparkly puff paint.

longchamp totes are the best......

Seems like everyone here either has Vera Bradley, Vineyard Vines, or Herve Chapelier...

If you are like my daughter and like to have more than one bag, she has a few canvas totes from landsend and llbean. We have found that the canvas are cheaper and hold up better for books. She does own a Chapelier but doesn't use that for books.

Up here the bags from twelvenyc are making a splash, especially with the pirate embroidery on. They're not inexpensive, but cheaper than longchamp, which is also huge here. Great canvas bags, though. I have a mini pirate one that I use as a purse.

How is the quality of Longchamp totes? Do they last a long time? I am looking for something I can use everyday and that I won't have to worry about getting dirty.

Thanks!

willson's leather, if there's an outlet even better. i got this messenger bag that is a tote and a back pack all in one for like 20 dollars and it's all leather.

don't worry it isn't as dorky as it sounds. you can hide the back pack handles, as well as the messenger bag handles.

I know tons of people with longchamps and they've had them forever....the quality is definitely worth it. I mean, with any bag the bottom will get a little worn and dirty, but the material makes it pretty resistant to a lot of things.

I myself carry a Chapelier and it's absolutely wonderful. Well worth the price...resistant to most things I could do to it...holds a ton of stuff...and cute. Highly recommended:)

I love this bag^ I got it at a thrift store for like $2.50, and I have totally lost track of the complements I've gotten on it, from guys and girls alike. And it's a great size for either throwing all your stuff in and using as a purse, or for carrying books to class.

longchamp is god, but pretty expensive

I see girls with those Longchamp totes everywhere, so I finally looked them up to see how much they cost, and HOLY JALAPENOS they're expensive!!! I can't even fathom spending that much for a tote. At least they're cuter than those hideous Vera Bradley bags ...

Vera Bradley bags aren't hideous! I love them. They are quite durable and if they get dirty, you can just toss them in the wash. Guess it's a matter of opinion. I LOVE MY VB bags!!
