Looking for liberal arts schools around D.C. or NYC

Preferably, they're schools that are good in Intl. Affairs and Poli Sci.

In addition, they would have to accept me, a person who got around 1770 on the SAT Reasoning...>_>

Well, Eugene Lang is an LAC that's actually in NYC, and offers political science as a major. You could probably get in. Loyola College in Maryland isn't far form DC, and is another possibility with your stats.

You could also try Fordham as a reach. It's not technically an LAC, but it's Jesuit (which means that it holds the same educational vales as an LAC).

Thanks.

Bump for moar.

im also going to bump this out of my own interest...

the only problem i have with eugene lang is its unproven status in the world of college education. would it be an ok place to go if my aspiration is law school?

maybe mcdaniel college? its about 50 miles away from DC but it pretty well respected in maryland and you should have a good shot at getting in
st mary's college in maryland is the public honors college, but its also maybe an hour or so away from DC in southern maryland...

Bumpie, bump-o

ajr: I think you're talking more than an hour, more like an hour and a half. In any case, in fairness, the atmosphere at St. Mary's couldn't be any farther away from NYC/DC even if you tried. I agree however that it's a great school.

Schools near DC:
Check out Baltimore! When traffic's rough, it can be about an hour to Foggy Bottom, but Baltimore has Goucher College amongst others, which is totally underrated, and in Annapolis there is St. John's college (though that doesn't have much to do with International Affairs). And if you really are keen on the political stuff, you may want to reconsider schools such as George Washington (which may be too big/urban for your tastes but is really an impressive school for every subject).
