Looking for safety schools

The title says it all. 3.6 GPA, 4.6 HPA, 32 ACT, nationally ranked HS, great ECs, started a charity, many leadership positions, great rec letters.

Help anyone?

We need to know your major and career goal, your home state, and how much your parents will pay.

A safety has to be affordable.

*- lots of school spirit

 • beautiful campus
 • obvious great academics
 • pre-med
 • study abroad

2100 SAT*

I saw your app list…too many reaches. Your 32 ACT and 2100 SAT and your GPA are in the lower half for your reaches.

You’re makng a common mistake…reaching for top schools as a premed. Huge mistake. You should be aiming for schools where YOUR stats would be in the upper quartile. Otherwise, guess who won’t be getting the A’s? YOU. Your premed classmates will all be stronger than you.

Med schools don’t give a rat’s patootie about the name of your undergrad unless it’s a total unknown podunk school.

What is your major? what is your home state? How much will your parents pay each year?

Major: premed (bio, global health, something of the sorts)
State: FL
Cost: blessed that parents can cover all tuition costs

mom2collegekids: My list is my list and I’ve been advised by people who know me and my school. I know I have a shot at my reach schools, so please do not tell me otherwise. Rather, I would appreciate it if you could answer my question with the information I’ve provided on this thread, not on any others. Thank you.

University of Florida and FSU

Agree with UF and FSU…also nearly any Flagship except Cal and similar.

safeties: Rollins, Flagler, St Louis University
Matches: Austin College, Rhodes, Furman

Consider applying to Tulane non-binding EA – that way you know you are in by December.

Any State school.
