Looking for some insight...

Im in my senior year of high school, and it is not looking to great for me. Im probably going to fail for the year, and if anything get on a credit recovery program for the summer(which would mean I would graduate in August =/. I have been rejected by my #1 college choice, and now im waiting on a letter from a community college. My GPA is atrocious. On top of that, I attend an under-performing HS. Got into this position by slacking off and waking up when it was too late, and essentially carelessness. I guess im reaping all of that now. But anyway, what I want to know is - what could I do to better my chances of getting into a good college next year (if I have to repeat the 12th grade) & should I change schools? Should I try to go to a private school? A better public school? Would any other school even accept me?! Just looking for some insight here. Thanks in advance.

You probably will need to go to community college and get an associates degree with an excellent gpa.

I agree with Northstarmom. Around where I live, people who don’t do well in high school usually go to a community college for a bit and transfer to a state university.
