I go to a very rigorous private catholic school in NY, no APs offered but i'm still taking the hardest courses offered. I have a 90/100 UW GPA. SATs are weak but taking them again CR-540 M-600 Wr-580, and ACT is a 30. For EC's im in 4 clubs. some community service, NHS, and am going to Boys State this summer, and im white.
I'm looking at schools with a good engineering program, so far looking at:
Villanova, Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell, BU, and Manhattan(Safety)

Anyone have some good Reaches/Matches/Safeties?

Looking for a private school, strong in engineering, indifferent about greek life, less than 10,000 undergrads maybe, and can be anywhere in NE, PA, VA, MD, NC, Delaware, DC, etc. Or anwhere else really the ones stated above would be nice though.

Although this will probably be a reach school for you, I would put Rice University in Houston, TX on the list. It has strong engineering, 3,200 undegrads, no greek life (instead, it has a residential college system, which is more inclusive… supposedly its like the house system in Harry Potter), and has a very beautiful campus. If you get those SAT scores up to the high 600s, that will definitely help your case at Rice.

Rice would be extremely unlikely for the OP.

If you can get your test scores up a bit, U Rochester would be a good match/slight reach. WPI and RPI are also options, although they’re not as well-rounded as the others.
