I want to take a lot of courses in math over summer. Right now, I am in Calc AB and BC. I want to take lots of courses over summer. Are there any universities that have summer programs where you can take a lot of courses that you want. I only found a few. Can anybody help me please. If you find one that isn't specific to math and has lots of other courses too, than that is fine. Please post if you know any such programs

can anybody help me. I also would like to take a course in physics, c/c++, and english. Any help would be great.

i know UC Berkeley has a program called ATDP (American Talent Development Program). You can take all different types of classes. check that out

Do you want classes for credit or just to learn? I know that the MIT OpenCourseware program puts their course materials on the net for free. But you don't get access to their professors or credit.

If you are willing to do distance learning, I think Stanford's EPGY program has all the courses you are interested in. I don't know how many they will let you take at one time. My son took BC Calculus in 9th grade, so for three years he did one math class after another using EPGY. You would have thought this would have made him a shoe-in for Stanford, wouldn't you? Sigh ...

You might google around using the term distance learning and the specific name of what you want to learn.

At usual summer programs at colleges for high school students, you can take two courses. A number of places have these; unfortunately, I've never seen a master list of places, much less the courses they offer. My two kids went to Carnegie Mellon and Brown to do this.

If you have potential colleges in mind, you can see if they offer courses in the summer. This would kill three birds with one stone as it were: you get the classes, you see what the college is really like, and the college gets to see what you are like and your interest in them.

The only other possibility I can think of is checking out your local colleges.

HTH a bit

There are several threads in the Parents Forum about summer programs. You might want to check those out.

ok, thanks for the advice. Any others.
