I am currently a sophomore at The University of Georgia. I have a scholarship that pays for my tuition completely here, however they do not have the major I am interested in. I would like to be a music supervisor, which is someone that puts music in films and television shows. UGA has a music business certificate program, but that is it. It's only 21 credit hours, and not very well regarded(it only started about 6 years ago). The two majors I am currently deciding between are public relations, and mass media arts(which focuses on film and television production).

I am interested in transferring to a school with a degree in the field I would actually like to pursue. Music Supervision isn't a degree at any schools, except for Berklee which has an online course in it but that's it. I've been looking into USC Thornton School of Music, however it is extremely expensive and hard to get in to. It's a challenge finding a music school to transfer to that doesn't focus solely on performance arts, which I'm not interested in pursuing. Berklee and NYU are also schools with amazing programs that also have the same problems.

Does anyone know of a school with a good music business/industry program that won't leave me drowning in student loans upon graduation? Is it worth it to go into a specialized degree if I'm going to a school that pays for my tuition?

Thank you!
