Hello. I'm looking to transfer to UCI as a poli sci major by Fall 2014. I was looking through the ASSIST report and I have a few questions.

ASSIST Report: SMCC 12-13 UCI Articulation Agreement by Major

There are 2 options given, A or B. A is a easier load, with only 2 polisci classes to pick and 1 course from the really long list. Option B involves twice as many, with 3 poli sci classes from the first set, 2 from the 2nd, and 1 class from the long list. So here are my questions.

Why are there 2 options to choose from? Will picking A have a negative impact on me for admission, seeing as how there are less classes for completion?

If I were to choose option B and I'm looking to complete the 2nd set, where it says "TWO COURSES FROM", will having classes completed from the first set count towards this set? For example, POLSCI 1, 2, and 7 are included in the first set; will the completion of those complete the 2 course requirements in the second set, seeing as how 1, 2 and 7 are both included in it?

On the bottom, there is a school math requirement. Are these required before transfer or before graduation from UCI?

This is more of a general ASSIST question. I was looking through the same report a few months ago, when it showed the 11-12 academic year. That particular report had a few computer science courses that it told me to take.

ASSIST Report: SMCC 11-12 UCI Articulation Agreement by Major

The current ASSIST report, the one linked at the beginning of my post, now says that there are no courses articulated at my CC for those computer science courses. Is it likely to change for the 13-14 agreement, when it gets posted next year? I'm worried because I'm planning out my next 3 semesters at my CC and it will not fare well for me if those computer science courses are required to transfer and pop out in the 13-14 report, whenever it comes out next year.

On the top, it says that "this major does not require completion of prerequisites for admission as a transfer student". I understand this but I'm assuming it'll be in my best interest to get as much prereqs completed for my major as possible for my best chances, including the math and comp sci (if applicable)?.

Thanks in advance.
