looking to transfer

I am looking to attend a school near or in an urban environment. I'm kinda rural right now and I hate it, city stuff is nearly 50 minutes away. Other things i am looking for are mild winters(ie little to no snow), affordable, and nationally recognized. Right now I am paying $15k/ year for room/board/tuition. I am willing to pay up to about 20k. However, I will be oos anywhere I decide to go and I realize that will really screw me. I do have good grades and am hoping for an oos tuition waver or other scholarships. I realize this will be difficult for a transfer. Also, I am willing to go somewhere chilly if the cost is reasonable, warm weather is just a huge plus. I want someplace that is nationally recognized because I recently applied for an internship position and could not find my school's name in the huge list!

Sounds like you are looking for a large state school, if you want national recognition and a pricetag in the $20's (forget below $20k if you are oos).

What are you majoring in?

I'm majoring in computer science.

How about Georgia Tech? It's in Atlanta, and ranked #7 Public University in the country.

good suggestion. I just checked them out. oos will put me in the $20k's but if i managed to get instate tuition i'd be golden. I still have to consider how my credits would transfer.
