Looks like junior year is gonna suck... help me choose classes por favor

So...I'm going to be a junior (class of 2012) in the fall. My school is pretty intense - USNEWS ranked in the top 30's. So i'm not sure which classes to take... I want to be a premed (possibly as a BME major).
Full honors, got one B+ in honors chem :(, SAT bio 770, PSAT 210.

Schedule I'm thinking about right now:
AP Chem
AP Spanish (level 5)
AP Stats
APUSH
Honors English
Honors Precalculus

Senior year
AP Physics B
AP Calculus
Finite and Discrete Math
AP English Lit
AP Spanish Lit
Gov/Econ

... yeah. It seems kinda crazy...my main questions are:
1. Should I take APUSH OR NOT!!?!?!?! It's driving me crazy. I'm good at humanities-stuff, but if it's not my intended major is it worth the pain?
2. I will take all the math courses offered at school, but not science. I'm missing AP envi sci (which I already self studied) and AP biology. Will the biology hurt me? Should drop another class for it?

A lot of colleges don’t give credit for the APUSH exam, so this is up to you. I wouldn’t drop Biology, personally, and if you already took APES, take the exam so your time won’t be considered wasted. It’s up to you, of course…but here is my two cents. :)

Junior year isn’t THAT bad lol Uhmm I would reconsider dropping ap bio, you get loads of credit from basically all colleges from that one course. It seems manageable, shows that you’re interested in presenting course rigor. My Schedule is the same as that, but instead of AP Spanish I’m taking regular physics (A pre-req to AP Physics at my school) I’m also taking AP Lang and Comp (It’s a great class). It’s hectic, and you have to work your butt off but it’s not impossible. I’m sure that with your determination you’ll do fine. Good Luck.

Interesting, we’re going to have almost the exact same schedule for Junior year.

About APUSH: I think you should take it if and only if it lets you and gives you enough time to focus on what you really like. As a humanities/liberal arts person myself, I still take AP Sciences and Honor/will take AP math because I know I can manage my time and do good in those classes while focusing on my preferred ones.

what would you guys recommend dropping so i could take ap bio instead?

still thinking about apush…
thanks for all your help guys!

As long as you take those advanced science (AP Chemistry, AP Biology) and Calculus by your senior year. You’ll be fine.

check the colleges if they accept ap credit for biology and u.s. history. Also, check if the ap credit get you out of the classes required for your major.

The reason i’m not taking AP biology is because my schedule is full, if i follow my planned schedule (in original post). If I do take it, I would be

 1. dropping a class for it and
 2. doing double sciences and math for junior and senior year.

yeah…
again is APUSH IMPORTANT to me?!!?!?

i would drop ap physics B and take AP bio, unless you want to do engineering.

wait…you got a B in honors chem?? Going into AP is not good idea then. Normally at my school, a high B in honors chem will transfer to a low B high C in AP.

ilyssa, i thought that many top colleges recommend taking a physics course before graduation?

Also, I’m not too worried about getting a bad grade in AP chem. I messed up this year (couple of hw assignments/labs, and a bad test) but I know how to fix it.

bump 10char

bumpppppppppppp?
