My daughter and husband went to tour Marist over the weekend, and both absolutely loved everything about it! The admissions folks did a great job. The buildings and campus were beautiful and the students all seemed nice. Daughter felt so comfortable there. Marist just went to top of her list!

My son & I visited last summer and agree with you. Awaiting regular decision now.

Same here dsja, went last summer and waiting. This will be one heck of a long month, waiting to hear back from 5 schools, lol.

Good luck to you guys. My daughter got accepted along with $8000 scholarship which is appreciated, but much less than what other schools offered. So we will have to wait and see how the financial packages look. It’s our first kid going to college so every day is a learning experience (some days it’s a stressful experience)!

So I was accepted to Marist out of high school but could not attend due to personal issues and am now at a cc. Anyway Marist is one those under ranked schools like villanova. us news ranked it as a #3 regional university in the north. anyway my uncle went there back in the day mid to late 70s and he is now one of those well to do bank execs everyone is so angry at. He might not be a one percenter but he is up there. Anyway Marist and a lot of hard work got him there so unless you have an offer from a very amazing school Marist on scholarship is a great opportunity. ;)

My son was also admitted with a scholarship smaller than he received from other schools , but because Marist doesn’t start out as expensive it is still our cheapest option so far.(other than Rutgers)

He originally wanted to apply ED, but I discouraged it. Now he is not sure. He may still end up there but it looks like he will still be deciding in April.

I truly loved Marist and its my top choice. I’m waiting on regular admission but I heard that scholarships here weren’t as generous as other schools, does anyone know ?

I just want to know if you guys applied as early applicant? Btw, congratulation to your daughter on getting accepted.

We certainly meant to apply EA, and actually missed the deadline by 2 days. I emailed and apologized and cited the college book that had incorrectly listed the deadline as Dec 1 (if my memory serves me). Told them that we meant to apply EA but that if it was too late, to put us in the RD pool. We heard back fairly quickly so I think we made it in the EA pool. A couple of D’s friends still haven’t heard back so you are not alone.

I hear you Westie, my sons been accepted to Albany Pharmacy & Suny Geneseo, waiting for 5 more and a bunch of scholarships he applied for.
