Lop-sided scores?

770 Math
780 Writing (11 essay)
680 CR

2230 Total 1st try

I am taking subject tests this June. I will most likely apply early to somewhere and regular for everywhere else.

Should I retake in October to bring up CR score or not bother? I think I will get a lower score on writing if I retake but the same/higher in math.

My concerns are merit scholarships and private scholarships as well as admissions in reverse order (admissions is most important):

UMD (safety in-state, but I would like full-ride if I go there)
Rice/Baylor (BS/MD program)
WUStL
JHU
Northwestern HPME (BS/MD program)
Stanford (just for heck of it; will only go if good finaid offer made)

Retake if you want a better CR score, but really, you have excellent scores overall, you should apply to other top schools(even the Ivies, which give AMAZING finacial aid). What was your gpa? That is the other important factor.

Dude this was back in 2007. He’s long gone in college rofl.

Shnead: A 2230 will not get you into an Ivy League. Take a look at the chance threads.

Let this thread die.

I’m curious if there was any reason for this ‘resurrection’. Was it a sort of joke - get people to give advise to someone who finished College apps years ago? Or was it just and honest mistake?
