I asked my teacher to write a LOR for me and she still hasn’t done it. She got sick and I have no way of contacting her. I am considering asking another teacher but giving them 3 days to do it doesn’t seem fair. What would you do?
The deadlines pertain to the applicant getting their stuff in. Schools know that the supporting material will follow. Schools go through this every year. They don’t expect that all your supporting material will arrive by the deadline. Your application must be sent by the deadline. You can ask another teacher for another letter so you have an extra if you want but I wouldn’t worry as long as the 1st teacher gets the letter out in the next couple of weeks or so.
@lostaccount I am referring to the Jan 15 deadline for letters of recommendation. The application deadline is long gone.
Then ask a second LOR or email the initial one. How can there be no way to contact her?
