Lost Fafsa?!

UCLA TOTALLY LOST MY FAFSA FORM. D:

... Halp! D:
What should I do? I submitted my Fafsa on time... I even got the FAFSA confirmation email. ("Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been processed and the data will be made available to the school(s) listed on your FAFSA. The financial aid office at your school will contact you if additional information is required.")

x______________________X;

I'm planning to call UCLA and ask them what's going on~

Anyways. My question is this:
Do I still get full financial aid? ( Because I TOTALLY SENT IT TO THEM AND THEY'RE THE ONES WHO LOST IT! D: I'm sorry if I sound so like... DRAMAQUEEN! ~__~ But this is the SECOND TIME a college has lost my stuff. ;-; )

Oh, and yes. I still have my confirmation page! It pays to print everything out! :]

the same thing happened to me!

someone, help?

I'm going to totally laugh if the UCLA financial aid office is like "BEJESUS CHRIST, YOU POTENTIAL BRUINS! We haven't been able to upload everything... we thought you'd be too happy to check!"

xD; It seems I'm not alone. So it makes me feel better. Perhaps they'll have it up soon.

There's another thread on this...several people have the same thing.
It might be due to the fact that the system isn't set up yet? After all these acceptance notifications are early.

same thing happened to me and I think I read somewhere that it will say that they have it only when they have your SIR. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I think they just don't have the system up yet...

same here. just wait .

^^Same thing with my son! :(

i asked them what happened...and you probably were chosen to have your fafsa audited. so basically, you need to go print a verification form and fill out some stuff.
log into fao, and it should come up.

Yeah, I'd say just wait it out and see what happens. If you printed out all the confirmation pages and stuff you shouldn't have to worry too much. Might be a hassle to deal with it but they can't deny you because THEY messed up and you have proof. However, if you didn't print it out, well then I guess you learned your lesson.

So I just relogged into my FAO account.
And they have this nice little thingy that pops up when you place your mouse over the link.

YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT YOUR SIR before you can get your financial aid info.

How dumb. Seriously. D:

What if I DON'T want to go to UCLA?!

I'm too confused! Can you tell me what they mean? I submitted FAFSA and got Cal Grant info for UCLA. What are they saying and what do I do? Thanks in advance!

How can one be expected to commit to UCLA with the SIR if you don't know what the financial aid package is? For many, attendance may depend on the fin aid award.
I think it's just not quite set up yet, due to this early notification date.

Yeah...OOS tuition is freaking 44K +!!!!! I'll be danged if i don't get to look at my fin aid plan now.

same here.

What is SIR? Where do I look? Sorry, if this is a stupid question.

ahh now i feel dumb for emailing them a freaking out "what happened to my fafsa?!" email...

SIR= statement of intent to register

*FAO FAQ

You're financial aid package will take 6-8 weeks to process. So relax ****ES!

^^liyana: Thank you, but I still feel stupid. I'm so confused. What does it mean "statement of intent to register"? Thanks in advance!!
