Lost in the loop!

Hi there! I applied to UCF many weeks after my girlfriend did. I was accepted within two weeks, and she still has not heard a word from them. The only difference between our processes were that she had an issue with proving she was a resident of Florida, and the transcripts were never sent electronically, so they had to be sent hard-copy. I myself had a delay, where my SAT scores didn't send for a few weeks. All of these things were resolved in a timely manner.

EDIT: We are both Floridian residents.

My unweighted gpa and weighted gpa: 3.76 and 4.72
My SAT Reading/Math score upon acceptance: 1210, 520 for writing. (There was great improvement in my score, but I already got accepted.)
Race: Asian
Classes taken were mostly honors/pre-ap/AP

Her unweighted gpa is between 3.2 and 3.4.
Her SAT Reading/Math is: 1150, 550 for the writing portion. She also got a 23 on the ACT.
Race: Caucasian
She is taking all IB classes.

Why is it that I was accepted without having to wait for long at all, but she still has not gotten word? She applied last year in October and still has not received word, not even a deferment or a rejection. Every time we try to call in, we get the generic response of admissions being a rolling admission process and we'll just have to wait.

Does anyone know what may be going on? What can we do to get word from UCF? We haven't heard a peep!

Thank you for your help!

It could be any number of things, possibly that they want to see 1st semester senior grades before making a decision or it is possible that they get so many applications and for some reason have not gotten to her yet.

Did she get a confirmation email when she sent in all her application materials?

Yes, in her online profile, it says she has provided all necessary paperwork.

She is probably on the cut line. Her SAT is near the 35%ile and her GPA is in the bottom 10% of accepted students.
Does her being in IB weigh for anything? Just wondering.

It helps in filling the class rigor block.
