Lottery cutoffs for fall 2012

It’s one of the few nice looking dorms here. Maybe the inside is just super crappy or something. It really is a shame.

Silvers 165 - 220 will be renovated this year (for Fall 2012), except for the basement apartments which were done in 2009. All other Silvers were renovated in 2010 or 2011.

There are 187 Newell apartments and 39 Starkey apartments.

Cook cutoff was 3277 first round.

does anyone know if i can still live on campus for fall 2012 even though i didn’t sign up for lottery process back in february?

soccerguy- Try calling Residence Life Assignments, Phone: (732) 445-0750

Let us know what they say!

ps on the website it says: 3.Residents who do not apply during that time will not be eligible to participate in the lottery process and must sign up for the waiting list the first week of April.

So I am guessing you will still get housing at some point. http://ruoncampus.rutgers.edu/lottery/lottery-general-information-and-policies

If you do go on the waitlist, please come back and post your experience, what you got, etc. I’m sure people would like to know how that works.

yeah I will do that.

There are approximately 124 2-bedroom apartments and 44 3-bedroom apartments.

Cutoff number for Rockoff was 2888.

Housing here goes by seniority, but someone posted that their group of 1 current freshman/3 current juniors got in.

soccerguy are you a continuing student or a transfer? You will probably be assigned housing through a different process if you are a transfer. I would still call housing assignments and ask them.

Will 1919 basically ensure a Busch Suite at this point?

greg the suites cutoff last year as per housing was 1315 but suites went before apartments, so I think the number will be higher this year for suites.

sebs lottery? count me in

coltyboy the SEBS priority lottery happened several weeks ago. Newell/Starkey selection has also taken place. As a freshman student, you will be assigned to one of the dorms, depending on your housing app campus selection/rooms available.

Does anyone know what the cutoffs for Clothier was last year? What about the river dorms?

I live in Clothier now and my lottery number was in the 6000’s. My roommate was in the 9000’s…yeahhhhhhh

Does anyone know what suite cutoffs were? Please post.

I have tried to call housing to ask them various cutoffs, spoke to various people, everyone says “there is no way for me to know that, besides, it doesn’t matter!”

The housing dept at Rutgers is the most uncooperative dept I have dealt with in my interactions with Rutgers.

I am not a difficult person. I am not a dumb person. But all my interactions with Rutgers housing have made me doubt this at times!

They are arrogant and apathetic.

They really don’t want people to know how the process works. I’m sure that is because, if we did know, we’d all be ****ed off!

@rualum
on the facebook page someone noted that the suites cutoff was lower than the cook apartment cutoffs. Not sure how accurate that is, but if it is, that is terrible. I’m just happy I’ll be able to live somewhere on college ave.

Suites cutoff was 1939.

WHAT?! I’m so confused…how are the numbers this year for everything so low!

1939 is a lot higher than I thought it would be.

I really hope they get their act together for next year.

Made no sense to have the Suites select fifth if they are this popular.

Don’t be alarmed though. All it means is that many students with low lottery numbers saved theirs for the Suites (as low as 35 even). The cutoff for Cook and Rockoff Apartments was closer to 4000. That’s a more accurate figure to go by from this point forward.
