<p>I have heard about UNC-CH sending out "love letters" to freshman applicants. Does anyone know if they do the same for transfer students?</p>

<p>LOL. I meant letters that don't tell you that you're accepted, but it basically says that you're a great student and the type of student that they are looking for. From what I've heard they generally precede a real acceptance letter.</p>

We'll most likely reject you, but you have a beacon of hope. I would like to arrange an interview with you to determine whether we really hate you or your application sucked.</p>

<p>Hey Volman, I don't know about the likely letters. However, the regular admissions students were notified today like a week ahead of schedule.
Perhaps we'll be finding out before the 25th?</p>
