I am enrolled in 3 AP classes for my senior year: Art History, Government, and English.

The main reason my GPA is low is because I messed up my sophomore year due to personal/family issues (which is what i wrote my essay about)

I know the requirement is 3.0 to apply to UC's, but I'm hopeful that admissions officers will see my improvement.

bumppppppppp

chance me you cutiez

If you actually manage to break 3.0, you have a decent shot at Riverside and even Santa Cruz.

the UC system says that students can be eligible for admission no matter what their GPA if:

SAT I + 2 SAT 2 Subject tests = 3450

You have a 3210, so maybe if you take the SAT again, then you will be eligible for any UC.

One of my friends had a 2.7 GPA but a 1950 on the SAT, he got into Berkeley because of the eligibility thing.

Your best bet would be to try and bump the SAT score a bit.

"One of my friends had a 2.7 GPA but a 1950 on the SAT, he got into Berkeley because of the eligibility thing. "

WHAT?

somehow I feel that there is something wrong with this statement

Sorry, it was actually a 1980!

He got a 1980, a 730 in Lit, and 710 in something else and he got in.

Although it might have been cause he was an english major!
