So, I don't know if any other schools work this way, but basically - our High School weighs classes as such.

100%
AP - 4.5
Honors - 4.0
C.P. - 3.5

So, if you're in all "college prep" classes, the highest possible GPA you can get is a 3.5 granted that you get a 100% in every course, every quarter.

As a Freshman, I am in 4 Honors Courses, 2 C.P courses (C.P. Art, C.P. Latin I because we cannot take Honors Language I)

So, I nomally maintain a GPA of around 3.65~3.7, however this quarter (3rd) - I received my first "B" in Honors Geometry, as well as a 90 in Art, which brought my GPA down to a 3.45.

I plan on bringing up my grade any way I can in Geometry, back to an A, and in Art hopefully, perhaps I'll try and salvage a 3.57~3.6 by the end of Freshman Year.

So, as a rising Sophomore, I'm taking 6 Honors Courses next year, and 1 AP, granted that I do as well (well, not well in my opinion) next year, should it boost my overall cumulative GPA considerably?
