Low GPA, High ACT? (relatively) Need Help!

Hey everyone!

Here's the deal.. My dream school is the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. I am applying EA (sending in my app on the 20th of September). I have great ECs (President of MUN, worked for a UM Grad doctor, etc.) and received a 31 on my ACT. The problem is my GPA: I have a 3.5 W. I am in-state and attend the number 1 private school in the city of Detroit. What do you think my chances are?!

As a backup, I want to go to a school in Chicago (my brother goes to law school at Loyola Chicago). However, schools down there can get really expensive. How much merit scholarship money do you think i might be able to get from the schools I am applying to (list below).

Here is a list of all the schools I am applying to:

University of Michigan (EA): First Choice
Northwestern University: Huge stretch (applying just for the hell of it)
Loyola Chicago
De Paul
UI Chicago
Michigan State University: In-state safety

Really need some advice on Michigan! I'm dying over here!

BUMP.

Anyone?!
