Low GPA - Relatively High ACT and SAT Scores

To start things off, I'm currently in my 3rd year of highschool and I take rigorous courses (All of my classes have been either AP/IB/Honors). I'm also part of the International Baccalaureate program. The problem, however, is my GPA. I went through a period of severe depression throughout my sophomore year and the first half of my junior year which lead to a drop in my academic performance. I'm currently improving, so my GPA is subject to change.

Unweighted - 2.62
Weighted - 3.32

While my SAT/ACT scores are relatively high (1980/28 respectively), I'm worried that some colleges may look past that as i've heard from others saying that GPA accounts for ~2/3 of my acceptance.

I'm not looking for admittance into Ivy leagues, but i'm hoping on being accepted into either USF or FSU. The question is, do any of you have an idea of whether or not my GPA would prevent me from being accepted?

of course it will, it reflects what kind of student you were during the 4 years prior to college

It depends on which school you are looking at. Of course, you have little chance at any of the top tier schools. There are some schools that put less weight on GPA. If you have a particular school in mind, just look up their information on this website or other. There should be a match for you somewhere, but not necessary the school that you are thinking of right now.
